Serena Frechter is program manager at the Public Interest Fellowship. She previously served as special assistant to the CEO of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and to the Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Prior to her government service, she worked as a government relations analyst at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, where her work included writing and disseminating policy briefs, resource guides, and memoranda on national security issues to policy makers and the media. Serena is an alumna of the Public Interest Fellowship.
Serena attended Johns Hopkins University, where she earned both her B.A. in International Studies and History with a minor in French Cultural Studies and her M.S. in History.
