Deputy Director
Serena Frechter is responsible for strategizing and implementing programming that enhances fellow experience through mentoring, professional development, career advancement, and networking opportunities. She previously served as special assistant to the CEO of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and to the Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Prior to her government service, she worked as a government relations analyst at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
Serena is an alumna of the Public Interest Fellowship. She attended Johns Hopkins University, where she earned both her B.A. in International Studies and History with a minor in French Cultural Studies and her M.A. in History.
